IMMIGRATION LEGISLATION

This will probably pass the Senate this month, but might not pass the House later in the year. See "Congress" for contact information.

Personally, the text of the proposed legislation (at Senate) is far too soft for me, and rewards those that continue to break our laws at the employer and employee levels.

Depending on the border security that is actually implemented, who knows if this legislation will even make a dent in the 66 percent of the cocaine that is currently crossing the Mexico border; not to mention the 60 to 80 percent of the methamphetamines. Methamphetamine

According to the DEA, 80% of the methamphetamine in the U.S. is either manufactured in Mexico or is manufactured in the U.S. by Mexican national drug traffickers operating under the direction of Mexican drug kingpins. These illicit drug sales in the U.S. have resulted in a boom of revenues for Mexico.
