DRUGS AND THE MEXICAN BORDER

I have been watching the Senate debate for the last two days and it is quite frankly embarrassing. Not one Senator has made a meaningful mention of the drugs that continue to flow over the Mexican border. And why is this the case?

Are there any reporters out there that are willing to investigate the Senators’ business ties, etc., and how such ties might be influencing their desire to secure our border. There must be an explanation for their total disregard of this issue. I fear that the answer relates not only to the poor character of the Senators, but also to the outside influences that improperly affect their decisions.

The common ploy that is being used over the last two days is to add things, amendments that will be practicably impossible to get passed. It is my understanding that this is a common tactic that Senators use when the goal is to get nothing done.
